I had taken a brand new car and with in the first few months the car has had numerous problems. The engine overheated due to coolant leak,the battery was changed twice, Again there was a coolant leak. The car has been in the service center for 2 months in 2 years.

COMPLAINT #2597 - Guarantee Or Warranty Issues

Further to the services and the maintenance works which has been carried out through the guarantee period of the aforesaid car, which has been charged /paid by mine, as a breach to the rules of announced guarantee from the agency (copy attached from the payment invoice ), please be informed that, I have been deeply disappointed when I observed the rust which has been appeared again (photo copy attached), despite of your strong commitment/statement during service that the same rust which is not affecting safety /integrity of the car, will never appear again, which has encourage me to accept your proposal for underneath coating, as well as to postpone any claim to my rights in changing the defected parts during the guarantee period.

Therefor , and based on your failure to stand on your commitments due to the appeared rusts, the following shall be noted:-
1-refund the payment of the underneath coat (2200 Dhs)
2-replace all the rusted parts by new parts under the car guarantee
3-do all the necessary maintenance required for ensuring the integrity and the safety of the car, which will be your sole responsibility since the car has carried out all the required service inside the agency from the 1st Km up to date.

accordingly, I will wait for your response to arrange an appointment for starting the required maintenance within 48 hrs, henceforth, no any proposal for coating will be accepted, noting that, I am reserving my right for any further action, in case of any delay/failure in this regards.

Dear Sir,


I own a Ford Edge car brought from Al tayer motors 2 years back. Before coming to last service, I noticed some patch on the roof top and and eventually it lead to the peeling of the paint from that area. I went to the show room and met the sales executive (whom I dealt with when I brought this car). He advised me to notify the issue while going for service. When I took the appointment, I mentioned this issue and the representative told me to notify the issue to the service centre. Later when I approached the service center, they told me that I have to send the car to body workshop and the complaint shall be considered during the service. When I went there in the body shop, no one was there at that time and unfortunately, I was not able to take my car there after that. So I waited for next service. Now when I took my car for service, the center considered this paint peeling issue, but they rejected my complaint with a reason that it happened because of bird dropping. I was surprised to hear this because I am using a covered parking and washes my car every alternative days. If so how bird dropping can be a cause of this?

Also, I have noted some other ford edge car in the service centre have the same paint peeling issue and in most of the vehicle it had spreaded to most of the areas. I fear the same for my vehicle as well.

The explanation from your side is not justifiable. As I have trust in you and your brand, hope you will consider this request and do the needful as early as possible.

I received wrong information for the second time. I was told I can extend my warranty for certain amount and free checkup. I don't get the free checkup. Plus the price was different when I went to need the service adviser. This is the second time I face this. The first time was when I want to renew my service contract the price was 9000 AED. I service adviser told me you can do it later no need to do it now. I went there after a month or two and I found out the price got increased to 14000 AED which is 5000 AED more.
