I MADE A LAYBYE AT THE PEP STORE ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO, SO I WENT TO THE STORE TO CANCEL THE LAYBYE BUT WAS TOLD THAT I CANT CANCEL MY LAYBYE SINCE I DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL RECIEPT. I ASK THE CASHIER IS'NT THERE ANY ANOTHER WAY THAT WE COULD DO IT BUT INSTEAD SHE GAVE ME AN ATTITUDE AND SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE WONT BE ABLE TO ASSIST ME, I MEAN I HAD MY IDENTITY DOCUMENT WITH ME BY THAT TIME AND I DONT THINK IT MIGHT BE A BIG ISSUE THAT MUCH SINCE MY IDENTITY DOCUMENT WAS SCANNED WHEN I MADE THAT LAYBYE. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST PROBLEM I COME ACROSS WITH THIS SHOP, EARLY THIS YEAR I OPENED A SAVINGS ACCOUNT BUT THE CASHIER THAT WAS ASSISTING ME DID NOT EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME ON HOW THIS SAVINGS THING WORKS.SO THIS OTHER TIME I WENT THERE AND PAID R250 WHICH I THOUGHT GOES STRAIGHT INTO MY ACCOUNT (SAVINGS) AND THREW AWAY THE RECEIPT WITHOUT KNOWING THAT THERE WERE NUMBERS THAT I WAS SUPPOSE TO PUNCH INTO MY CELLPHONE, A MONTH LATER I TRIED USING THE CARD BUT THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE CARD SO I WENT TO THE SHOP TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED AND THEY JUST GAVE ME AN ATTITUDE AND I WAS TOLD THAT THERE'S NOTHING THAT THEY CAN DO, AND THEY MADE ME FEEL LIKE A MAD WOMAN OR SOMEONE WHO DOESNT KN0W WHAT SHE;S ON ABOUT, THAT PEP STORE CASHIERS KNOWS HOW TO MAKE A CUSTOMER FEEL SO SMALL. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THE ATTITUDE OF THE PEP STORE CASHIERS AND ABOUT THE THINGS THAT I HAVE LOST.

I went to Springbok Pep Home, to ask for a cash savings card, the lady called I assumed the manager who told me, that she don't have time for this nonsense, because how many times must she tells the customers to apply online. This was my first time I asked for this, after I were sent by the two Pep Stores in Springbok, to Pep Home. This was not the first time this lady were rude in my presence with customers. They didn't wear their identification tags, and like she told me, you can complain, nothing will be done

I am a 70 year old pensioner, and was shopping at PEP STORES, RANDRIDGE MALL, RANDBURG, when my ONE WEEK OLD, cell phone was stolen from my bag. I was looking at an items of clothing when two well spoken and respectable women started hassling me. The one kept bumping me from the back while the other one was encouraging me to keep looking for my correct size further on the rack. Suddenly the were gone from beside me and I realized what might have happened, and I looked for my wallet and cell phone and other valuables and discovered that my cell phone was missing. I screamed for help as the two suspects were hastily leaving the door of the store. There was a security guard right outside the door but he proved to be very ineffective. One assistant ran out of the door but said she did not see where they had run to. I enquired about security cameras in the store and was informed that they would not be effective in assisting me with my problem.
When I spoke to an assistant after the phone had been taken from my bag, she told me that the two suspects had been in the store all morning and had bought nothing and suddenly were running from the store when I started screaming. Why then was no one watching these particular ladies all the time, because to be in that store for hours would surely raise suspicion.
Should Pep Stores wish to keep their regular customers, some sort of effective security measures urgently need to be implemented.
When I notified my service provider of the theft of my phone, I was informed that it was the second phone stolen in that particular store in the past TWO WEEKS !
The area where I was looking at clothing is completely hidden from the front counter. The clothing racks are very close together and tightly packed with items on hangers. So a bump form a 'supposed' genuine buying customer is not unusual but during this Covid pandemic times there is no space for proper social distancing between the different racks.

I went to Pep Retail Crossing this morning to buy a 3 pack wipe combo.

I had a limited time for shopping and thought it would be a quick exercise.

There was only one cashier by the name of Portia Phosa at the till attending to a customer that was paying for a basket full of clothes.

Portia looked up while chatting with the other customer while scanning the items that she had in the basket at a very slow pace.

I thought Portia would call for assistance after noticing me and another customer in the row waiting to be helped.

Nevertheless Portia continued chatting with the customer she was attending to.

When I saw the number of items that still had to be scanned I requested her to please call another cashier. She did not seem very happy with my request as there was no reply from her side but made it seem like a great effort to make an announcement for another cashier to come to the till point to assist.

After this Portia and the customer that she was attending to looked my way and where clearly discussing me and the situation while thinking it was all a big joke.

When the other cashier arrived I asked her where all the other cashiers were. She then said that they were attending to stock in the back. I then asked why they only had one cashier attending to customers at 11am on a Sunday morning. The cashier that was assisting me then confirmed that Portia who was attending to the other customer had instruction to call them when there were more than one customer in line which did not happen at all. All through this whole situation Portia and her customer were laughing at me and discussing me as if I did something wrong when asking for assistance. I asked to speak to the Manager but was told that she was not in today.

I left the shop very upset and after completing shopping at Spar with my mother, we decided to go back to Pep to get Portia's name as I did not feel that I was treated fairly at all. I then asked to speak to the person in charge for the day and Mosetsane was called.

I then explained to her what happened earlier.

This is not the first time that we were treated in this manner at this specific branch and I have decided not to just let it go this time.

The cashiers do not treat the customers with respect and speak in their language to each other while attending to customers most of the time as we go to this Pep very often.

As a paying customer I feel the behaviour of Portia Phosa was totally unacceptable today.

It makes me feel as a white person that I am not welcome in the store and it is not acceptable.

Please reply with the steps that will be followed to rectify the way that I was treated in the store today as I am sure this happens on a daily basis. As mentioned this was not the first time.

We go to Pep almost every weekend and it feels like it is just getting worse as time goes by.

I think people too often, like I also did the first time just let things go and it is not being brought under the attention of the owners of this store if we do not let them know what the staff is doing with their business while they are not present.

Please advise what is going to be done about this ?

I'm a customer that calculates every price of an item when adding to Carter so when I go to the till I know of an amount that I need to pay. I did a shopping at Pep store in Govern Mbeki, Gqeberha. At till was taking out items from the basket and putting on counter without checking the scanning. When all items were scanned the total amount was a bit high than what I calculated (must have missed an item) Then I politely asked the cashier if she didn't double scan anything. Instead of saying no she answered with a question asking why she would do that??? Tell me if that isn't rude because mistakes do happen. I was not accusing her, the question was polite, I did not make any scene. She did not know where the question was coming from what point of view. Her response was really unpleasant and was unapologetic even after I told her about her harsh response.

The problem of this phone started while i was in eastern cape the phone just does not want to switch on reason unknown but now i came back to western cape in George to seek help about it your technician is telling me that the phone have physical problem of which i know nothing about and in order for me to get the phone done i need to pay an amount of 1985 for repair, that is disgusting to hear such a thing because i am too old to do that. And now i am going to open a case about this now because the store manager just said there is nothing she can do about it. But i bought the phone at the store in pep home here in george

on the 17th May i checked my upgrade date, online checking process stated to contact the customer care service, i called and the details of my contract was not available, the admin told me she will escalate it and i got a ref no. 1-34998036078934
SMS stated within 24hrs i will get feedback, no feedback.
I called today 21st May and the admin stated the query was not assigned yet, this frustrated me...i was put through to the Upgrades department and magically my contract details was on the system...
My issue i have my contract was changed from 24 - 36 months...i asked the admin to send me proof of accepting the quote...as this was only a quote done.
Although this was done online I can not recall changing it.
can you please assist with 2 issues.
1. What changed from the 17th till the 21st, If my request was not attended to (see ref no), how did the info return ?
2. proof of my accepting the quote of 36 months

i was in pep stores long beach mall in capetown and the que was very long and there was one cashier at till point and 3 ladies talking really loud in office, not worried about their customers which is unacceptable and very unprofessional.please kindly assist because it is happening quite frequently.

I had an Ackerman's bag I gave in at the parcel counter (15 May 2021). I was given back the wrong parcel. when I went back the next day (16 May 2021), my parcel was nowhere to be found and I was told to wait and see if the person the parcel was given to will return it. I was furious that this happened as I needed that parcel as a gift to a birthday party at 12pm that day. I was then also told that the number my parcel was placed at they not using when I know for a fact that was the number given to me. The ladies at the store said that they would need to find out from their manager how to proceed. The manager would however only be back on 18 May 2021, hence I am now filing this complaint to ensure that the manager receives it. I am really very upset with this. The value of the content in that bag was R270.
The PEP store was the Metlife Plaza PEP store in Port Elizabeth. I spoke to Portia. I would appreciate it that the manager contacts me asap to have this resolved. Thanks Geraldine

Morning sir I was at your store at sibilo complex pep cell to make a money sent and the one lady working there was very roet with me when I tell her to lower down the radio that was so noisy and you have to remove the musk to talk because u must talk loud and they behind the counter they don't even have musk's on so pleas this is serious and she was not even away that am government employee and can complain to the relevant poeple that are protocols to covit rules pls make a plane because I will go to the same store again to go and see if the is improvement and if not I will engage with the savety raps two ladies that were working in the afternoon by Saturday 14/ 05/2021

To whom it may concern

I am not happy with this stylo cellphone

This phone has a onboard application called stoll

This application removes everything needed for my business right infront of my eyes as I am busy on the phone I have lost so much information and photos in the last 5months since my purchase my grand children have found that the cause is this stoll app that we have removed several times but the app just keeps coming back. I need assistance I can't afford a new phone and am not happy with this purchase

I purchased a cellphone at Savanah Mall pep home on the 2021/03/21 and not even two months later the phone gave in. I do not have the reciept went to PEP in Louis trichardt advised the day and time was between 12H00 and 13H00 and was advised by the manager that they cannot re print a reciept and therefore cannot send the phone for repairs. In today day and time with technologhy been advanced is this really the reply yet I have the Box with all items and they able to scan and see the IMEI number was under PEP purchase

I was returning a baby shoe within 5 mins after I bought it due to its size being big; but my baby had already warn it; the manager instructed the cashier to clean the shoe infront of everyone all customers standing in the cue; because I represent workers in NEHAWU I asked if what she is doing is part of the employees duties as it’s supposed to fall with the cleaners; the manager responded very upset saying that they do not have any cleaners; & I found it very disturbing as it is exploration of workers rights; the details of the specific pep stores where this incident occurs are as follows: 4th Avenue Newton Park Pick n Pay center; & the date when this occurred was the 7th of April afternoon; I would appreciate if I can get a response regarding this matter; my name is Nomvuzo Blossom Booi my contact number is 078 723 0464 my email address is bloss***@gmail.com; I am a very good customer of pep stores I buy most of my children’s clothes at pep even cellphones and for myself; I wouldn’t want this to affect my loyal support for pep in the future; please attend to it ASAP!

I walked into the store got to the till and wanted to cancel my laybe the lady in the till was helpful until Zandi was called who is a supervisor with a attitude and she said she needs a copy of my Identity document since I dont have a receipt I gave her my id she said she needs a copy I must go make a copy... such a big store with no photocopy machine she has a bad manners and she couldn't help me i had to go make a copy at the photocopy store. What a bad customer service will never shop there anymore... This happened on 9th of May.

I am so embarrassed and disappointed on the behaviour of a manager of pep store clothing in long beach mall,such an 3mbarrasing manner unethical and I'll deciplined.i had a complain at the door in stead she come to hear what the problem is concerning the client.she gave funny look attitude like and I quote" you look for me then you come to me" that 8s very disregard and disrespectful towards me as a client.
Please train your employees how to treat a client.if some of us services are not welcomed please Pep store must make it clear.
