TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - Consumer Complaint for Mercury Express Logistics

I bought a laptop battery, which was delivered at the mercury UK hub, to be sent to Zambia. I was not aware that loose batteries are on the exceptions list of items they transport (my mistake for not checking before hand). However, they received and signed for the parcel but I was not informed. I only came to know after multiple inquiries that parcel was received. I contacted them and requested a provide an Address withing the UK, of a person who can collect the parcel for me. The insisted parcel is probably DESTROYED now, since it's a loose battery, which they can't transport. Something I spent money on...
