Manager told us to leave the store for refusing to take basket - Consumer Complaint for PEP STORES

PEP STORES
I was recently at the PEP store located at Mark Park shopping centre in Vereeniging. They have a store policy where everyone who enters the store is required to take a shopping basket, they say it's to keep count of how many people are in the store. I was with my mom, who took a basket, and I refused to do so because I'm seriously scared of catching the corona virus, hence I avoid touching anything when going out, unless I absolutely have to. The security guy understood and I proceeded to go in and headed straight to the pj section to get what I had planned to go buy. A few minutes later, the store manager approached me, wearing only a face shield and no mask, insisting that I leave the store because I have a problem with taking a basket, which he says, violates their store policy. So, I left and waited for my mom outside. While waiting, I noticed that their shopping baskets do not get sanitised at all after each customer returns them. On top of that, not everyone wears a mask, some only wear face shields, including people who were coughing, using their hands to cover up!!! I'm not saying that they have the corona virus, but the store manager should be educated on customer service and the pandemic, he is putting people's lives at risk due to his stupidity and arrogance! I plan on taking this issue further and ensure that he gets demoted. He was so rude! I will not be shopping at PEP ever again, I am done! I went to Ackerman's & purchased my pjs and new winter essentials there and was satisfied with their service.
