Online order not converted - Consumer Complaint for Clicks Store - Head Office

On the 23 July I decided to try Clicks online ordering service because I wanted to avoid going into the actual store during such unprecedented times of COVID-19. I created my profile and placed my order for R1339.86 and after 2 days realized that I did not get an order number nor an acknowledgement from Clicks.

I than called in and was told that my email address was incorrect however they will update it and send me an email acknowledging my order since they can see that the funds were debited from my account.

After a short while I had not received the confirmation email and called again, the second consultant requested for my email and said she was updating it on the system which was strange because this was supposedly done already.

I waited again and after a few hours called in and this time I was told that they have the funds however my cart was not converted and this meant that they needed to place the actual order in their side.

At this stage I had spoken to 4 people including Busi and Marchary amongst others and requested to cancel the order. Strangely now that I wanted to cancel the other, the online team emailed me, bearing in mind that all along I had not received but 1 email.

I was given an option to get the funds credited to my account or get cash back rewards loaded into my account and I went with the cash back rewards because it would happen almost immediately instead of waiting for a refund which would take up to 17 working days.

Makhail sent me an email confirming that the rewards had been loaded on my Clicks card and they sounded really simple, he did however mention it could take up to 4 hours to reflect which was not an issue because I planned to rush to the store the next morning.

By night time on Monday the 27th, I checked and the cash back rewards where not reflecting which meant this was not actually done and I could only sort it out the next morning. I emailed and called in and could not get helped timelessly.

At this stage it’s morning of the 28th on a Tuesday, I have no baby nappies, food and milk and are struggling to get ahold of someone to assist me. The consultants from Clicks don’t bother calling a client back and instead when you call in, they ask you to wait on the line while they try get ahold of each other.

I loaded airtime after airtime and continuously called them. Not once did I get a curtesy call. As it stands I am still waiting for someone to help me.
