Mikes Kitchen Complaints

I went to mikes kitchen in Boksburg on Mother’s Day for breakfast I had phoned and made a booking for breakfast when I arrived there at 10h10 the waiter brought our menus and asked what we would like to drink the beverages came and we ordered our food 10h20 we then waited until 10h50 I called the waitress over and ordered more drinks and enquired about our food she said it was on the way when the second drinks arrived no beer glasses just the bottles again asked were is the breakfasts were, the food arrived at 11h15 and we had asked for sunny side up eggs what we got was the wrong toast eggs yolks where broken, bacon and mushrooms cold I walked out of the restaurant at 12h20 a VERY bad Mother’s Day for my 87 year old mother and wife.
Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone Atrocious service.

We visited Mike's Kitchen at Umhlanga today. We waited from 19.15pm to 20.49pm for our meals to arrive. And when we did get our meals,it tasted like it was cooked in burn't oil. When the manager was called,he was apologetic but had no reasons for the delays or terrible taste of the food. Being such a reputable restaurant and looking forward to finally having one in Durban,it was indeed a big disappointment. The excuse of they were not prepared for the for the restaurant being busy hence the delays in kitchen is no excuse at all,staff are trained to handle the peak times. And what of the taste of the food? Why is there only one manager. He seemed clueless to questions. I will not be going back to that place again. I would like to know if there is someone overseeing the kitchen staff because herein lies the problem!

Went to mikes kitchen lambton. Didn't like it one bit. White waiters only served white people where the manager is boer. I thought we went past this stage. It was not comfortable and weird. I am not going back there. I understand that yes our brothers were serving us. But if we the customers are sensing discrimination and division, how about the black waiters that are there week in week out. Someone help me understand.the food is good but i would not advise anyone to go there.
