My lay by was sold. - Consumer Complaint for INCREDIBLE CONNECTION - HEAD OFFICE

On the 07/09/2020, I made a lay by for a HP 15 inch in cavendish square. However when I went to go make my last payment on the 29/01/2021 I was informed that my laptop has been sold and that there is no way that they can get a closed one for me as it has been discontinued. I was appalled because this is NOT what is supposed to happen with a lay by. A lay by means that that item is put aside for the customer and no one else is to touch it. They then proceeded to ask me to wait. One sales consultant was helpful while everyone else either kept their heads down or approached me like it was not their problem. The manager would barely communicate with me, which was very disappointing as one would think the manager would resolve the issue instead he wanted to end the situation as fast as possible without giving an apology. Luckily the sales consultant explained things to me. They then gave me a model HP ENVY but I still had to pay the full price, after a day of setting things up on the model laptop it sometimes freezes are takes time to respond. I find this very unacceptable. I was also informed that this was not the first time this happened. And that there was another customer on the same day that this happened to. I was really happy with your lay by service, and would have recommended you to all my friends, but now I don’t think I will since you don’t have follow the basic rules of a lay by.
I would like a response to this situation as soon as possible or I would have to take things as far as I can.
