MIGRATION HEADACHE - Consumer Complaint for Vodacom - Head Office

Good day

On Saturday 24/10/2020 I spoke to Jessam about a migration on my cellphone contract as I was retrenched and can't afford the Red Select anymore. She said that my migration fee would be R3550 and offered me a new package for R211. I said that I need to think about it and will get back to her.

On Monday 26/10/2020 I phoned and left a message for her to phone me back. She didn't phone me back.

So on Monday 02/11/2020 I phoned once again and spoke to Zama. She offered me a migration fee of R517.00. We couldn't finish the process to choose another package because of technical issues on your side. She said that she would phone me back by no later than Tuesday 03/11/2020. So by 12h00 on the 3rd I was still waiting for her call. I phone again at 12h15, left a message, by 16h00 I phoned again and left a message.
On Wednesday morning the 4th I phoned again and left another message. At 16h30 I phone again and left another message.
So this morning now the 5th of November I phoned again and left a message. I spoke to Kim, Then a few minutes passed, I phoned again and spoke to Nicolene, I phoned again and spoke to Denise.

Denise said that Zama did select a package already and that the migration would have to be reversed and done again in order for me to select a more affordable package myself. I said it is fine, after holding the line for a while she came back to me and said that she would phone me within the next 10minutes.

Guess what that didn't happen. So at 12h00 I phoned again and spoke to Tsamara, actually now at 13h00 I am still talking to her, Migration increased to almost R4000. Said that I can't afford that. So I held on longer and it came down to R2000 for Migration fee but the package went up to almost R700.

What doesn't Vodacom understand about being Retrenched??

So instead of just stop paying my contract I tried to get it down so that it can be more affordable.

I do have a retrenchment letter as prove, but up to now none of the agents I talked to asked for it?

When selling a new contract or upgrading an existing contract your service is excellent but when one need help from your side your service is none existent.
