My Two Daughters and I were contacted by Vodacom telephonically. Vodacom informed us that due to our lengthy loyalty to Vodacom we are offers a special offer in an attempt for Vodacom to thank us.
They offered us Mecer computers and stated that they are of the best quality, this however turned out to be very false. No only where there problems right off the bat but also repairs seem to be almost impossible.
The first issue that we all three encountered with respective computers was that the @ button and the '' button where switched. So every time you pressed @ you would get '' . This however did revert back after we spent hours playing with the settings. This was a minor set back and didn't deter us from our desire to love these computers.
However shortly after the true issues begin. From not being able to upload or download any data, not connecting to the internet, being ridiculously susceptible to viruses and regularly freezing to just general poor performance. As a computer aficionado I can confidently state that my hand held mobile phone has more functions and capability than these MECER computers.
I wholeheartedly believe that Vodacom was supplying these very "affordable" computers solely because the manufacturers realized how poorly it was selling and where desperate to get rid of it. Now poor and unwitting loyal customers such s us are stuck with these products.
All three of us have already gone to complain at Vodacom in the Garden Route mall and have all three been informed that it was not them who phoned us and that we have to get back top those who called, who as you may know are impossible to reach as we do know their identities or precise location.
We are now at the point where we want to return these computers and stop paying or we want to be supplied with a better product.
