Because I now have uncapped wifi at home, I wanted to cancel my Vodacom data contract (number 0796963982). I started this process in September 2020.
Vodacom agents would assure me the contract has been cancelled, but I would receive an invoice every month. Eventually on 31 March I received an e-mail stating that the account has been converted to pre-paid. I decided to reverse the March debit order as this process was just going on and on. Today I received an e-mail stating that my account is in arrears with an amount of R320.88. I immediately phoned an agent to inform him that the amount can be debited from my account immediately so that this matter could be concluded. He said the debit order has never been cancelled in any case.
My problems are the following:
1. Why is it not possible to cancel an account at the Vodacom shop?
2. Why was the account not cancelled immediately (in Sept. 2020). The perseverance of clients are tested to the extreme!
I get the impression that agents deliberately make it as difficult as possible to cancel a contract. Every month there is a different story!
If you look at your records, you will see that I have been phoning Vodacom since Sept. 2020 using the numbers: 0845168301 and 0605238737. I was also told that my account will b credited with R770.00.
I am a Cell C client and wanted to move my business to Vodacom as there is a Vodacom outlet in town, but now I have my doubts if Vodacom has any regard for the interests of clients.
