Expired Item - Consumer Complaint for Puregold - Head Office

I bought two trolli kiss at Puregold Sucat (lakefront) yesterday (10.28.20) I notice that the date listed as best before is 19.10.20 and I can read it as October 19, 2020 so I asked the personnel but he mentioned it was the manufactured date and since I'm in a hurry I take his words and paid what I bought but now I'm really concern about this and wants to know if this item was expired most especially that a kid will be the one who'll eat this.pls see picture attached and kindly correct me if I'm reading this incorrectly. I just want to have a peace of mind.
