When I signed up for a fibre contract with Vodacom, I was sold an "INTERIM" LTE decoder to be used until the fibre was installed. Well at the end of March 2021 FROG FOOT installed the fibre to my home. The very next day a VODACOM technician installed a Vodacom router and took the LTE router away with him. Therefore as from date of the fibre installation I have had NO LTE service. However, when I checked my statement I noticed that I have been charged for a LTE router for the month of April. I called the Fibre customer services (082-1904) and asked for a credit for being charged for a service that I do not have. I was told by your employee that I should not be charged in the future for the LTE router, I was also told not to expect a credit because although my grievance was legitimate, Vodacom NEVER processes a credit for anyone. The employee sited examples of people waiting two years for a credit and eventually giving up. As far as I ma concerned this is tantamount to theft. Charging customers for a service that Vodacom does not provide!
This has the potential of being one of the largest corporate frauds in South Africa. If one takes just one example of charging R560 per month to each customer for an LTE service that Vodacom does not provide. With just one million customers, that equates to R560 Million of fraud that Vodacom could receive monthly and that it only one service. The numbers are staggering! This is despicable behaviour to say the least. John Morgan

Comment Hi I'm not happy i dit a sim swap the number of the phone is suspended 0795097217. We bought R200 data at vryburg vodacom for the number. I got a new phone new number and they told me that they will transfer the data to my new number and nothing has happened yet. I have been to the store a few times asking about it and they promise me that it will be done. Nothing yet again for more than one month please can you assist me
