If you may please refer to the emails below and the timeline to prove the appalling service received from DISCHEM. Please note that I am emailing on behalf of my mom because she’s had enough of empty promises. After doing the covid test, the results were promised in two weeks, obviously this didn’t end up being the case... After waiting not so patiently and missing work for weeks we finally called and complained. Her boss would not allow her back at work until presenting a negative covid test as covid should be taken very SERIOUS. Finally in August someone had called giving the news of the test results coming back positive. As seen in the email below a dischem voucher of R850 was promised due to the service, well in this case, lack of. We are now heading towards the end of February 2021 and this email was dated August 11 2020. Over 6 months and we are still waiting for this voucher. We have been into dischem stores in hopes of getting what was promised and obviously no luck. My last resort will be taking this to social media and I’m hoping it will not get to that stage. Kindly assist with this matter. By the time the results had come out, quarantine was done beyond and no chance of infection thereafter meaning doing this covid test was a complete waste of time, petrol and money. We had come to dischem and payed for a service that we did not receive. Dischem being as big as it is, should not have taken on so many tests if they knew they could not handle it and disappoint customers. All we are wanting is what was promised 6 months back because now my time is being wasted typing out this email because jobs are not being done.
