Foodpanda cancelled my order when I was on the elevator to get my order from the rider - Consumer Complaint for FoodPanda - Head Office

FoodPanda - Head OfficeI ordered a 4 Jollibee meals from foodpanda. The driver got here earlier and he chatted me via the built-in messaging app of foodpanda, and I replied just seconds after, saying I am already on my way down. I am on the 32nd floor of the condo and the elevators are not that fast. Upon receiving the text and replying, I made my way to the elevator to go down immediately, was just 3-4 minutes from the room to being downstairs and when I got to the rider, he said my order was cancelled! I was just in the elevator and foodpanda cancelled my order from their end? That is unbelievably unacceptable. The rider is already there waiting for me and I didn’t even waste time to get to him and while I was on the elevator, in which there wouldn’t be any reception, foodpanda cancel my order just because I was unreachable for 2-3 minutes that I was in the elevator? The rider was so humiliated that this happened. He kept saying sorry for your company. Like I already replied that I was already on my way down, and you cancel my order? It wasn’t even like I never even replied that I was coming down. The thing was, I was already on my way down. Then you surprise me that my order was cancelled right when I am already with the rider? This is unacceptable. If foodpanda does not do anything about this by the 20th of December, I am going to sue because this is an unacceptable behavior. Good thing the rider was very nice and still gave me my order, don’t worry, I paid him the 340 pesos that I ordered.

Comment Hello sender, I am also upset with them, but I think you got an issue with the connection when riding the elevator you did not have a connection on that time, that's why you got disconnected or unreachable and it will automatically cancel all the transactions from foodpanda, and they can't do anything about once you get disconnected, remember it is an internet based platform to perform such transactions.
