FORCED TO GET INSURANCE - Consumer Complaint for Manila Bankers Life Insurance Corporation



I've tried sending email to their email address custom***@manilabankerslife.com however their mailbox is full that's why my cancellation request wasn't send yet. What should I do? Someone help me please, they forced and pressured me to get an insurance on the spot and taken 21K on my account yesterday.

You can try calling them thru their telephone number posted on their website. Or you can try messaging them on Facebook. If you still cannot send your email, I think it is better to call the main office, so the management is immediately notified of your intention to cancel.

What happened with me is that I emailed my cancellation request to customers***, but they still ask me to visit their extension office at a mall where I got the insurance. I thought when I go there, the matter would be resolved, but the agents insisted that I should not cancel and all, and they say things that it is not that easy to cancel and wala naman silang lapses so bakit ako magcacancel. But I know that within the free-look period, I have all the right to cancel and get a refund. Long story short, it got so ugly. I got mad until yung manager na kumausap sa akin, saying sige iprocess na nila. January 29 pa ito, but today lang ako naka-receive ng decision ng management approving my request. I am processing the documents for refund, pero nasa 2k din yung nabawas sa kabuuan ng pera na binigay ko.

Sir patulong po, what should i do, i feel that i got scammed today huhu i thought may presentation lang sila tapos nagulat nalang ako nung hiniram card ko at pinaswipe sakin, in short pinressure ako, i never said na kukuha ako ng insurance pero nandun na e. What's my first step to get a refund ?

Hi, we had the same experience po we were force to get the policy and d na namin alam nangyari kanina what happened is we were in the mall with my partner and sabi nila no commitment daw this is just for free raffle were we can win 150k ang galing nila magsalita, yung marketing strategy nila na makapanlinlang nang tao , una kinausap nila kami chinika napaka friendly at yung isa nagpakilala pa na taga same kami nang province well ako I don't usually do this ma deceive nila ako sa mabulaklaking salita, sinabi ko diko dala ang savings ko and naghahanap sila nang savings acc para ma qualified, any atm na may laman, una sketchy pero napaniwala nila kami sa raffle and yung partner ko lang daw qualified kase may dala siyang bdo atm eh kinausap,kinausap nila akala ko 5 mins lang umabot nang 1 hour and 30 mins ang lala and na force nila yung partner ko and to cut the story short sinabihan nila partner ko na eh ta try lang daw nila if ma approve wala silang sinabi na this is for payment na nagulat nalang kami and sabi ko kanina we need to cancel it and sabi wala d daw pwede, pagkaabot namin sa bahay may contact pala na we can cancel within 15 days which is nawala sa isip ko sa galit ko nag sisigaw talaga ako kanina sa alabang branch kase 4.5
k ang nilabas nang partner ko which is malaking halaga na sa amin. Nawala sa isip ko talaga nag away pa kami nang partner ko. Now I will go on tuesday babalik kami sa mismong brach kong saan nakuha ang policy. Kaya pala dinadaldal ako ni ate kase ayaw nila ma distruct yung partner ko kase napapirma na nila nang papers and all. Na arrange pa nila sa auto debit yung acc niya. I was so angry hanggang ngayon nag away kami nang partner ko about this. I really don't know they did that. Beware everyone, naawa din ako kanina kase naiisip ko may kasabayan kami.

Sir GM and sir W A balita po sa cancellation nyo ? I got there yesterday, it got so ugly that nagkakasigawan na, galit kami galit din sila, ang rude ng mga agents at pati manager, pag kuhaan ng pera ambabait pero pag cancellation ang rurude, in the end pinagawa nila ko ng handwritten cancellation letter signed by the branch manager at pinasurrender sakin ung policy. Ipprocess daw nila. Message mo naman ako sa fb ko or reply here, makikibalita lang.

Timeline po ng process sa akin:

January 29 afternoon - I signed with the insurance company
January 29 evening - After checking MB's background, I decided to cancel, so nag-letter ako via e-mail
February 1 - Nag-message sa akin ang agent to visit their office
Feb 2 - I visited them, they asked me to write another letter
Feb 18 - I have been notified that my cancellation request has been approved.
Feb 19- I went again to their office to sign some documents and surrender my policy
March 3 - Pumasok na refund sa credit card account ko, pero deducted ng 2k. Not sure kung may effect yung kung credit card, debit card, o cash ka nagbayad sa kung gaano kabilis maproseso ang refund.
