Contract cancellation not effected (4 months) - Consumer Complaint for Vodacom - Head Office

I am absolutely livid. I cancelled my cellphone contract for the number 0727683199 and requested it be made prepaid in the stipulated time frame 2 weeks before the contract came to an end. The end date was 11 December 2020, and I called the call centre on 24 November 2020 to request the cancellation.

My account was debit at the end of Dec 2020 and I called in the first few days of Jan to enquire why the contact was not cancelled. The consultant "escalated" the query to a "manager". I was debited again at the end of Jan, and AGAIN at the end of Feb and AGAIN today (the end of March). I have called the call centre numerous times over the last 3 months. Each time the consultant "escalated" my query. By the cancellation NEVER occurred and I have been billed for FOUR months extra now!

This is absolutely atrocious customer service! The last time I called in I demanded to speak to someone who can actually cancel the subscription and was denied this. I did receive an email thereafter saying that the cell number would be converted to prepaid on 31 March. I was not able to make a call to my daughter who uses this number. And then I was still debited for this contract again today!

I was told that the contract was prepaid for the month ahead. If that is the case, then I was charged for Jan, Feb, March AND April 2021. That is 4 times R240 (R960)! Not to mention the cost, time and inconvenience of the numerous calls I had to make!

I want an immediate transfer of the number 0727683199 to prepaid, my cancellation of the subscription confirmed (email will do) and a refund of R960 for which I was charged AFTER notification of cancellation.
