Fibre application not fulfilled nearly a month later - Consumer Complaint for Vodacom - Head Office

SENDER
Mervyn van Zyl
On the 2nd February I submitted an application to Trevor Padayachee of the Gateway branch, for a fibre connection. After 4 very frustrating weeks, although the modem was delivered, albeit with a slight delay. The frustration to get Vodacom/Open serve to just arrive and activate the already installed fibre line, has proved a bridge to far. Incompetence, non communication, I can't claim lack of customer service as there has been none. Speaking nicely to the Vodacom/Open serve representative does not help, as they talk nicely back to you and do nothing, getting angry also does not assist, as they then ignore you. I have in common with many South African consumers, just given up today, and requested Vodacom to collect their modem. I suspect this they may do rather promptly, and start the process again with another service provider. Given that I am relatively large business user and my company has several contracts with Vodacom this bad/non service, was somewhat of a surprise.
