I wish to express my utter disappointment at the poor service and lack of humanity/common courtesy displayed by one shown by one Sam Sekanka from your Pretoria Schoeman Street branch.
I am an Iwyze Insurance client that was supposed to collect a courtesy car from your branch yesterday at 14h00 at the advice of Avis which I had been told is the only branch in Pretoria that would have a vehicle. I unfortunately failed to collect same and came today at around 14h15. Mr Sesanka rudely assisted me by telling me that my booking had been cancelled as Avis policy was that if a vehicle is not collected within a 2 hour time frame the booking is cancelled. When I queried if Mr. Sekanka could not at least assist with checking the nearest branch that could maybe assist so that I could then request Iwyze to amend the booking he dismissed me by telling me that it was not his duty to do so and I must phone whoever branch of AVIS to check on stock availability.s
Whilst I understand and appreciate Avis’ policy, it would have been nice for your employee to at least pay some attention to me whilst explaining such instead of going about other paperwork and not address my issue in a respectful manner. I am not sure is such behaviour is premised on the fact that AVIS is the largest car rental company and hence doesn’t care about its customers.
This is truly disappointing and had I had the option from the insurance company, I would most certainly go shop somewhere else on the basis of the disrespect displayed by this employee of yours.
I would urge you to coach him to have a bit of “ubuntu” and respect towards other clients or redeploy him to the washbay away from any interactions with customers.
