Lost goods - Consumer Complaint for Clicks Store - Head Office

On the 31st January 2021,I visited Malelane Clicks Store & I was carrying a plastic bag with money, few items that I bought a different store and weave(that's worth R2000). The security officer ordered me to leave my plastic bag at the entrance, he reassured me that my bag is safe with him. When I was done shopping, I left the store & forgot my parcel. I then went back the next day to request for my lost parcel, unfortunately the security that ordered me to leave my parcel behind was not on duty therefore I was referred to the manager. Firstly I noted the way she defended the security officer before I would proceed on explaining myself, she kept on telling me that she left with the officer when they knocked off, they walked together to catch a taxi & he had nothing with him. I told her that I am not pointing fingers on anyone but would like to know what the company does when they come across this situation or may I atleast see the camera, she then said that the store does not have any cameras.After a while, she telephonically called the security officer & the officer confirmed that some guys (which I do not know of) came to collect the bag, I then asked how he could hand in a plastic
bag to people in which he did not see handing him any goods? To me this tells me that people leave their goods at the entrance & they pay no attention to them. Secondly I was amazed that when the security guard telephonically called him in the beginning he said he doesn't recall any plastic bag but later was able to explain to the manager when she calls. I am really disappointed on how the manager handled the situation and how negligent the store was towards my goods. If the security officers are not there to look after our goods when we enter the shop,why are we ordered to leave them at the entrance?
