Good day

I am not happy with Vodacom regarding a consultant that has lied to me about an upgrade. I called in asking to cancel my contract and pay off the remaining balance. The consultant then said because I am a loyal customer Vodacom would like to offer me a better deal, I asked the consultant more than 5 times if I would be liable to pay for the old contract she said no. I asked her to check on her system and make sure I will not be liable she said don't worry mam you will not be liable... Towards the end of the call as she was reading the disclosure notice she mentioned something about being liable to pay for the handset I immediately interrupted her and said but that's what I was asking she replied and said no man this is not applicable to you. I asked her to tell me how much I will be paying with the new contract she said R229 and R30 for the other line. The month of February will be the last month I pay for the old contract... My parting words to her was should I be billed more in the month of March I will call back she laughed and said yes mam please do. To my surprise an invoice comes in and I am billed R600 I called Vodacom to find out what that amount is for and they told me it's for the old handset I asked how is this possible since the consultant advised I am not liable for this all I am getting is I am sorry for the inconvenience. This matter has been escalated 4 times and none of the managers have called me back. I cannot excess the call recording and no one is willing to listen to it so I have also decided to cancel my debit order with Vodacom until such time that they are willing to assist me
