SCAM!!!!! - Consumer Complaint for FoodPanda - Head Office

I placed an order and paid by card. Shortly before my order came, someone called me. She claimed to be from Chili’s Greenbelt 5 and my card payment was supposedly not processed, so I was told I had to pay by cash to the rider. I was assured I would be refunded. I spoke to a female.

When the rider came, I paid by cash. I said, I was told by Chili’s that my card payment was not processed. The rider confirmed it was what happened. Supposedly.

I called the number again. This time a male voice answered. He said he was “Raymond” from Chili’s. I told him I had called Chili’s about my refund. He said he was just on break. He asked what Chili’s told me. I said they were looking into it.

I then called Chili’s Greenbelt 5 to check the status of my refund and informed them of the number and my conversation with “Raymond”. I was shocked to learn that the number that called me was not Chili’s Greenbelt 5. I was informed they had no employee on break at that time. It seems they also had no employee by the name of “Raymond”.

Long story short I WAS SCAMMED. It is so frustrating because you cannot contact foodpanda PH immediately for immediate concerns like this. The lack of accountability is incredible.
