Legal Collection For Incorrect Amount - Consumer Complaint for Vodacom - Head Office

Vodacom - Head OfficeGot a call from VVM on the 19th Feb 2021 regarding an urgent legal matter concerning my Vodacom account. I owe Vodacom R87-16, which I took full responsibility for. I have also made the consultant aware that I would pay this amount along with the R696-00 which was due at the end of this month. Payment would be made no later than the 27th Feb 2021. My account with vodacom is usually up to date, and I honestly think that turning R87-16 into a "legal matter" when its not even older than 60 days is quite ridiculous. This morning (23rd Feb 2021) I get a second call from VVM, and all of a sudden Vodacom claims I owe them R5019-00??? Called customer service immediately after and the consultant assumes this amount is for the full settlement as the contract only ends in September. However, when I called last week for a full settlement amount, I was given an amount of R4385-64, which the consultant said included the amount due at the end of this month. The amount due was also at R696-00 when I called on the 19th Feb 2021, so there's no way there could have been additional charges since then. Bear in mind the R5019-00 that VVM claims I owe is not inclusive of legal fees, just the amount that Vodacom has given them. And the worst part is, it's not the first time that this is happening. I've been a Vodacom customer since I've had my first phone, but at this rate, I really don't want to continue doing business with Vodacom. Comment Vodacom company need to take the closer look to their own employees especially in contract department, there is a serious syndicates of fraudulent cases happening and there is no way on earth that the fraudsters are on their own, a lot of fraudulent cases have occurred and the management is not easily reachable.082135 with Tobi the Switchboard is useless and your fraudsters are aware of your poor procedures on corruption cases. Vodacom Company take charge in helping people from being scammed before we suspect that the company is involved in all this syndicates.
