Violation of Consumer Protection Act - Consumer Complaint for Vodacom - Head Office

Good day,

To whomever this may reach I am in need of assistance as no one from Vodacom is willing to help me regarding this as it is above 30days that this matter has dragged. On 23rd January 2021, I had purchased an OPPO A15 from Vodacom4U at Southgate Mall from a salesperson Patrick. Prior to purchase I had asked for another device Samsung A12 but was told that the device was not available in store but after many attempts to convince me on the OPPO device I signed to purchasing of the device and was told of the 7day return period. Within 2days I noticed glitches that stopped certain apps and made typing slow.

On the 27th of January I went in store to report the matter to the manager and I was told he went out for a smoke and yet I sat there for 2hours but still could not speak to him and was told that I should prove the errors, an agent representing OPPO said that he'd reset the factory settings on the device only and that I would provide feedback after two days. Within this period the phone had the same problem which lead me into returning the device with the package intact.

On the 29th which was the 7th day of the return to state my issue and spoke to the manager of the store who said that they would not give me another device of my choice even though I stated my unsatisfaction with the phone.

All that of which I have stated is in contravention with all the above Consumer Protection Act as stated in the attachment. Please assist as I have paid cash and also left the device in store and I'm am hurt by the level of service that I received thus far as my health has deteriorated due to stress from Vodacom. All I need is my refund to be paid in full. I have been contacted by Kelly May whom did not assist me when she had told me that once the matter would be resolved by the 22 February 2021 and the store would either call me or the fields consultants would but no one did and my matter was disregarded.
