My 9 year chose Ocean Basket as his fave restaurant to go to for lunch yesterday and to our disappointment, the food was not up to par. He ordered a peach ice tea and received a lemon one instead. Luckily, he didn’t mind it and had that one instead. We ordered a starter calamari heads and received rubbery/slightly burnt calamari. The complimentary bread we received was also over heated in the microwave and was incredibly rubbery and too hot to eat. We ordered a platter for 1 and it had no mussels, a whack load of chips, very tiny portions of calamari and squid heads and the tiniest piece of fish - it truly was a rip of considering the price we paid.

We persevered through our meal not wanting to cause any unrest or have to send food back etc. We even tried to end our experience with a nice dessert in hopes that it would be far better than the previous things we ordered and to our dismay - the pan cookie we ordered was raw and we sent it back. We were so out off by our experience that we chose not to order another dessert. We asked for a takeaway of the platter for one leftovers and when I got home, I realised that not everything on our platter was packed in our takeaway container.

Extremely disappointing service and quality of food from Ocean Basket Cresta Crossing. There were no Covid measures and social distancing either.
