Sold me FAKE perfume - Consumer Complaint for Jumia Kenya

My wife ordered PERFUME online, delivery address was my office in CBD Town.
The item came to my office in the afternoon, and only manage to reach my home at 9pm. When my wife received the perfume, she realized it was FAKE.
I immediately called Jumia call centre 0700 000 990 but in was past 8pm close up time. I then sent an email via portal https://www.jumia.co.ke/contact/ stating the perfume received is fake and I intend to return it.

The following day I received a call from JUMIA informing me that I cannot return the FAKE perfume, on the basis that I should not have opened the box and I should have called them immediately.
There was no way, one could tell the perfume was FAKE unless and until she opened the perfume box.
I also tried by all possible means to contact JUMIA to immediately inform of our intention to return, by phone and email.
Still, JUMIA sent me an email informing I cannot return.
