I brought in a phone for screen repair on the 3rd of December 2020, up until to date I have not received any update on its repair. I am aware of the fact that the phone has been in a possesion of vodacom store in Standerton as of from the 29th of December 2020 having been returned from witbank store unrepaired due to lack of payment not received on time.I did receive an sms notification from the repair center at witbank regarding the payment on the 23rd December 2020.I went to the store on the 30th December 2020,I explained about the sms notification that I got regarding the return of the phone and was still advised that I pay and send in a receipt as proof of payment,I did as advised. Only recently did I found out that at a time when I came in the phone was already with Vodacom Standerton store. It has been more than two months already and I have never gotten any updates regarding the phone. I went to Vodacom store on several occasions to make queries regarding an update on the phone never got any valuable information,which on the 5th Feb 2021 was informed by the guy who deals with phone repairs at their store that the phone was on its way in a day or two & that reason it took longer it could of missing repairs parts and gave me the number for repair center to do a follow up on the repair. What I do not understand is if the phone was with Vodacom store from the 29th December, why would he have me pay for it still on 30th Dec and also the phone was sent to witbank repair center, why would he give me Nelspurit repair center number to make queries about its repair progress? The phone has been with the store for almost two months now, why keep it with them? Why don't they just give me the phone back instead of giving me a run around. I am not happy with the way the matter has been handled it show lack customer service on their side.I have no desire to have my phone repair by Vodacom anymore, I would like to have my phone back as well as being refunded the payment that I have made already on the repair of a phone. I have sent a formal complain through the store manager on the 10 Feb 2021, still I haven't received any feed back from him. I am still paying for the phone yet it is in the store possession as it's a contract phone both from their store.
