Deceptive and Misleading representatives - Consumer Complaint for Vodacom - Head Office

On the 15th of February 2021 I attempted to do an online upgrade with Vodacom. I recieved no confirmation call however the upgrade was processed. The courier had come to deliver the package however called the incorrect contact number. The package was then sent back to the vodacom warehouse in Pretoria. Even though the package was recieved, it took 2 weeks for the pending upgrade to be cancelled. Despite contacting the customer service department, after sales department and the upgrades and cancellations department, no one assisted me. I was bounced back and forth between the store and the various departments each telling me I needed to contact the other. After the pending upgrade finally cleared I called in to cancel my account. I was convinced not to by a representative by the name of Lincoln. He told me everything was in order and he would process my order, only to find out when calling to confirm that he had misinformed me and it would only be processed after 3 days as the previous order was still pending. Eventually the system registed the package as returned and I was once again convinced by a different retentions agent by the name of Karis, who too, promised me assistance but never followed through. After multiple calls to the retensions/cancelation department and many failed attempts to have the agent contact me, even though I was promised by both managers and other agents, she did not. Eventually Miss karis decides to call me,laughing on the other end as you would hear if you pull up the calls, she tells me I need to wait another 2-3 days for confirmation of the package I was offered. I requested a manager who I was told would call me today within the hour of my call, it's now 5 hours later, not holding my breath. I've been with Vodacom 6+ years having never missed a single payment, not even once. This is truly pathetic customer service and a true reflection of the incompetence of the people who manage these agents. There is something called the Consumer protection act 68 of 2008. Specifically, I tried to do an online upgrade. Courier did not deliver and the package was returned. Multiple attempts to have a new upgrade processes. Bounced around from department to department with no assistance for 2 weeks. Retensions agents lied to me twice and managers just refer me back to their incompetent agents. There is something called the Consumer protection act 68 of 2008.Rght to protection against false, misleading or deceptive
representations
1. Suppliers are not permitted to, directly or indirectly,
provide consumers with false, misleading or deceptive
representations regarding goods or services.
2. Suppliers are not permitted to use exaggeration, innuendo or
ambiguity when referring to goods or services or the benefits
thereof. Contact me so we can talk. Still haven't recieved a resolution.
