Customers are accused for employee incompetence. - Consumer Complaint for Vodacom - Head Office

I recently bought a watch from Vodacom Shop Menlyn Meine (Alisom Menlyn Maine). The salesman was so eager to wrap up the sale he did not return my Driver’s License - which he asked me for in order to make copies for the contract. I then left and nothing was reported to be forgotten or dropped. A few days later, I get pulled over by Metro Police and i was asked for my license and to my surprise it was missing. Luckily the officer was understanding. I then called the sales person every day for almost a week and he told me the same story: "I gave it to you, you lost your license". I, as the customer, having to drive up and down, make calls, running after my license after the incompetence of the salesman that wants quick sales. I then returned to the store and the salesman was not there, I then asked one of his colleagues to call him and ask him where the license is because I threw all my cards out of my wallet, turned my car and my house upside down in order to look for the license which according to the salesman "I lost", he then put the phone down in the colleagues ear and left me now further helpless. I then requested that I get the managers name and number of the store so I can call the moment the store opens the next day. The next morning I called from 9am till past 11am and no one answered my call. I then called the Vodacom customer care number and the lady was very nice and understanding and she helped me get in contact with that particular Vodacom store, FYI she struggled to get hold of that store as well, but finally she did. I then spoke to a Denise and she said she will follow up with head office as I requested for the security footage to find out if the salesman truly returned my license. Later the day, I was called and was told that they found my license in the store, meaning I was wrongfully accused and blamed for an employee’s incompetence, because he did not care and only ultimately cared about the sale. I then went to the store this morning (12/03/2021), to collect my driver’s license. I walked into the store and that particular salesman is standing by the door and tells me: "I looked everywhere and could not find it, I still do not have it". I was now confused and furious because of this information, I then asked him to call Denise. She came and handed me my license. In short, this tells me that he did NOT look, he did NOT attempt to find it, he did NOT ask, he did NOT find out anything, he blatantly did NOT care at all. I then got angry, because instead of apologizing for an inconvenience that he caused, he still argues and tries to justify his incompetence. Unfortunately I have 2 fairly new contracts with Vodacom and this experience that was not compensated in anyway with regards to my driving up and down and calling constantly, has now left a bad taste in my mouth towards this network.
