I called vodacom on 23/09/2020 to cancel my contract. I am a customer of 10years and just felt that I'm not getting any value from my contract. I was paying R230 for an airtime deal. Langton from retentions offered me 100 minutes, 175 airtime, 1 gig data, 200 SMS and a Samsung A21s for R269. I received everything except the 100minutes. After days of following up, Langton called me back saying management listened to the call and I said in the call I don't want the 100minutes. I asked him to send me that recording and have been waiting since. I will not rest until I get the 100minutes or the recording of that call. This is the first time I complain about an offer in all the years I've been a customer. I want those 100minutes.

I had a 2 year contract with Vodacom and on the 3rd of February a payment of R820.00 was debited but due to a issue with my bank the R820.00 was Returned (bounced) so on the 6th of February 2020 i made a cheque card payment via the Vodacom app which cleared on the 11th February 2020 but Vodacom is sayin the payment was never received but I have the proof ,bank statement uploaded- thing is I was also refunded R881.72 for late cancellation fees (sta-I3918536-2020-09-03_748) which is where the issue lies. On the 19th of August i sent the first email with all documents attached and up until now I'm still struggling to get my refund.. the customer service is so so poor and I'm sorry to say but its blatantly clear that the staff don't know what they doing. iv had so many blank email responses , iv spoken to so many advisors , requested manager call backs and even spoken to so called solution experts but still its seems with the documents they all cant tell the difference between the R881.72 and the R820.00 because every time a query gets escalated for the R820.00 not long after it gets closed as resolved due to the R881.72 which was refunded to me.. all I want is my R820.00 refund which I'm being refused. Its honestly been a horrific experience with Vodacom concerning the whole 2 year contract as 6 months in my iPhone 8 plus went dead while charging ,I took it to the vodashop in canal walk and it was sent away to repairs ,few days later received a message saying that the warranty is void due to a mark on the screen which wasn't there when we took it in (I have the paperwork to prove it) yet I was told that I have to pay in R8500 for a new handset) I took the phone to wefix who confirmed that the motherboard is dead and its definitely a manufacturing fault.. i have the paperwork to confirm that yet ended up paying 18 months for a dead phone...that's R14.400 paid for a dead phone. I cant express how painful and depressing this whole experience has been and all I want is this refund issue resolved. Its been 49 days since my first email and this will be my very last desperate attempt for help. Iv logged several complaints and iv got a list of reference numbers , as per ICASA iv allowed the service provider over 14 working days (like 35 to be exact) to resolve the complaint but its not happened. All I wanted was my R820.00 refund but now I'm gonna lodge a full scale complaint about the dead phone and the refund to ICASA , I have all relevant supporting documents, emails and SMS messages to support my case.

Kindly be advised that I have been trying to get through to the subscriber collections department the whole day to no avail. I am extremely appalled and disgusted by the service I received.

I have stayed on the phone for over 3 hours but nobody could assist me. I need my name to be removed from the credit listing by close of business Friday.

I have since been listed and the account has been paid off. I have attached the paid up letter hereto.

I have spoken to Experian who advised that you need to close the acoount on their system and this can be done in a matter of two days. Since you are the creditors you have to send them the confirmation that the account is closed.

I cannot be affected by this due to the negligence of Richards Bay staff. I ajve suffered enough and I refuse to remain silent.

If this is not sorted out by this week Friday I will be speaking to my attorneys.

I am fed up!

I expect a prompt response to this email.

I completed a request to relocate my fibre on 17 August 2020 to be installed 1 October. The request was approved but till date I have been getting the runaround from Vodacom consultants and no installation has been made. It is now the 7th Oct and still no date when this installation will take place. Calling everyday, emailing and just trying to get answers from Vodacom seems impossible. firstly i would rate my insurance negatively, if given that option.
my issue with the insurance company is multifold;
1. thay lied to me
2. they refuse to communicate in writting and insist on telephonic communication and
3. my device is still not repaired after 3months
here are the details:
My device was first handed in to a repair outlet at a vodacom store in centurion, in July 2020.
i was told that i would receive a quote which would have to be approved if there was any access payable.
i never received this quote, even though i received several SMS's requsting approval of the quote.
the device was then returned to the store in centurion from the repair centre in potchefstroom.
i was then advised that as i did not approve the quote the claim had to be re-submitted.
i then escalated the matter by email and only after several requests was the actual quote emailed to me. What was sent to me was the options i had available to me.
When i queried the options given, the percentages and amounts that i had to pay for the access reduced with no apology or clear explanation.
i then agreed to the revised options for my phone to be repaired and only now after 3 weeks do i receive an SMS to inform me that my devise has been sent for repairs.
i have also received an email this week stating that i refuse to communicate with Vodacom and that they have been trying to get hold of me unsuccessfully.

and hence my review as stated
1. blatantly trying to overcharge me and not doing this initially in writing
2. refusing to communicate in writing and
3. 3 months of waiting thus far, for something that could have been resolved over night as only my screen was cracked

How do I put this. Nothing with vodacom works. I have plenty cases where I get a sms with a ref then q hour another one saying resolved. Yet non hqve ever been resolved. Useless beyond note.

Request SR200909-658031 We requested the relocation of our fibre line on the 9th of September 2020. On the same day we submitted our completed request form. The Consultant on the said day and many others Consultants told us that the installation will take place within 30days. After numerious phone calls and follow ups we still do not have a set date for our installation. The Consultant today told me the installation will only take place before the end of October 2020. This is rediculous !!! Paying for a service that you don't even have.

I purchased a voda done mobile router at Limpopo Tzaneen Vodacom shop store no 22A (cargo G connection) at crossing mall 02/10/2020. I made it specific that i wanted a 4G router, the consultant assured me that it was a 4G .Her name is petronella cashier number 5 she’s short and light skinned. She Gave me a 3G I only realized when I get home. Today 06/10/2020 Im from the store the cashier and manager didn’t want to take responsibility for their mistake. I literally felt attacked The way they were so rude to me. I wanted an exchange or a refund they didn’t offer me any of these they were very rude i ended up leaving . I have the till slip and the router is in the same condition as it was when I purchase it. I need help the router will not serve any purpose as i wanted a 4G not a 3G.

We fell on hard times when my husband was retrenched. After a few months he worked on a contract basis for a half a year and was back to being unemployed. We did pay our outstanding amount in full and collections assured me on numerous occasions that I will be removed from black listing but this has not happened as yet. I was a client from 1996 and am very disappointed in the way I was treated. I understand we have to pay our due but the treatment received was uncalled for. Please at least clear my name.

I have sent mail to the cancellations department on 10 and 31 September, but I do not get any response and the payment went through again on 31/9. Please cancel my contract urgently and refund the payment that went through on 31/9.

I called on the 17 September 2020 at 9.55 to update my banking details, I was put through to a man that had a screaming baby in the background and could barely hear him over the noise from his side. Gave him all the details and he ASSURED ME THAT IT WOULD BE DONE.
WELL GUESS WHAT .... HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING, OBVIOUSLY WORKING FROM HOME, HE WAS TOO BUSY LOOKING AFTER HIS KIDS TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR CLIENTS, AS NOW MY DEBIT ORDER WAS REJECTED BECAUSE OF HIS ABSOLUTE INCOMPETENCE.
REALLY IS THIS FAIR TO YOU AND YOUR CLIENTS.
